Hi,
So I've been having this problem for a number of times now, after turning on my laptop, I try to play media files (Winamp or Firefox), everything hangs and I'm unable to do anything unless i restart my laptop.

Any ideas as to what is causing this?
Thanks.

Could be due to a bad sound driver.
If you can fill out your PC spec via control panel we can find a driver for you.

Hi,

* Does it happen with all media files? or only Audio/Video ?

* If its with all media files, then the problem should be with the AUDIO drivers as told by the above poster !

* If only with video files, try updating the same :)

* Do you get any error messages? From when you got this issue ? after installing any media software?
