Windows Installation Disc - where?

Hi, everyone!
My laptop says "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer
2. ..."
But the problem is that i haven't an installation disc and, moreover, never had (I purchased the computer with Windows 7 already installed). I tried to contact my "computer manufacturer", but found out that free support is not available for me, because my system is not in warranty.
Could you help me? How can I fix my computer?

Windows 7 has a procedure to create a repair disc (what is needed). In addition most PC vendors have a procedure to create a set of backup discs, which apparently was not done.

Here is a link to a site that shows you how to do it without a disc and also has a download for a repair disc. I know nothing about this site other than I found it doing a google search.

Then computer went mad and every time i tried to start it i was told that it couldn't... I had an important challenge next day so i went mad too, and it seems that i somehow decided to restore the system. All went okay until appeared "Windows is starting services", which it was starting for centuries. At some point i went crazy again, found Device Manager, disabled something... And here i am.

What anti4us did you run??? Did it run automatically while surfing the internet? If so... it was a fake virus scanner that told you you have multiple virusses. All fake!! It installed virusses instead. Why trust things you didn't ask for?

How did you restore system?

"windows is starting services" was at the end of restore proces I suppose. It took centuries to finish... but did it finish without problems???? How can you start device manager if it's still "starting sevices" (i think you mean configuring services[?]) And what did you disable? Without proper info ... helping you is very difficult

No, it wasn't fake. I downloaded and ran it deliberately and i did it before and all was fine! I'm not a complete idiot. I hope.
There was a window with "Startup repair", "System restore", "Command Prompt" etc. I chose "System Restore" and then just followed instructions.

Didn't I mention? I didn't manage to finish restoring - i just sort of interrupted it.
So, in any case i need an installation disc, right? I think i'll try to follow insructions on screen again.

That's same as win7 repair disc. You did system restore and that failed/was interrupted. There's no thing as half a system restore..... it fails or succeeds. If it fails or is interrupted is rolls back and is in state as it was before trying system restore

Try startup repair there.. does it find something? Click "view diagnostics results" afterwards. Which test doesn't have status code 0x0?

Enter "command prompt" and do:

diskpart
sel  disk  0
detail disk
exit

Which volume has "system" displayed under field info?

ok..... this may sound like a long way around, but......

Obviously Kaktussoft is on some working PC, he's on this forum.

how about:

1. use working PC, go to Digital Life and get the ISO

2. get 7-zip and install it

3. run it to unpack the ISO

4. get free MS software to burn to DVD

5. boot from DVD on busted machine (F2 first to change 1st boot device)

6. fresh, clean install win 7 (hope he has license key)

7. make repair disc, etc.

8. reinstall users apps

There are tutorials for these steps, can't remember where they are.

If I missed steps (I'm sure I did), please fill in.

seems like a lot, but without a starting point, he will never start.

Any chance this might work?

If you can restrain yourself from complete random recklessness in the future, then follow these steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

You will get and keep a perfect install to the exact same degree as you stick with the tools and methods given.

The installer is provided as well as tools to rescue your files. I would delete all partitions during the booted install, after you study the steps thoroughly and ask back any questions.
