Windows Installation question

Hi, I am currently going to install The windows 10 installation tool for my other laptop. I am using a easy store external hard drive. I have work on this hard drive and I was wondering when Install Windows on my other device will I loose the work I have on my external hard drive?

If you're going to create a USB Win 10 installation drive with MCT (Media Creation Tool), yes it will clean (format) the drive.
You can create a partition on the drive and manually install the files. I can give you the instructions.

My recommendation is to use a 8G USB flash drive.

If your installing on another pc is it a clean install or upgrade ?
