Windows is locking screen frequently

My Main screen is locking up frequently. I am NOT a technical PC person, but what I have attempted in hopes of fixing the problem was to run a scan with my Kaspersky, ran a virus check and did a trouble shooter. Can anyone suggest what else I could do to correct this probem?

You can also do a check disk on system disk.

Open command prompt window and run the following command.

chkdsk C: /F

You will have to reboot the system and upon restarting, chkdsk program will run before windows desktop appears and will fix any disk errors.
