First, fill in your system specs, and what version and platform of Windows 7 you are using. We'll need that before we can even begin taking guesses.

Its very unusual for a computer with 8GB of RAM to display this, some program may be using too much memory. Is page file disabled?

Guys, I get that you're all trying to help the OP, but in fact, he is right. He asked one simple question....can the message be disabled. He didn't ask for help with his memory in any way, shape or form. Even when he pointed out that he just wanted to disable the message, he got a hostile response. Not cool.

All hostilities aside, I also recommend having a page file, regardless of how much memory is installed.
This is just proof of that fact. Windows needs a page file. And with Hard Drives as large as they are, and cheap.
Space is no longer at a premium. Therefore, there is no reason to not have a page file set.

Otherwise, no, I do not believe you can disable that message.

No one is being hostile. Look at the big picture. How long as this myth been floating around (and has been long since been proven to be a myth)? 5 years? Longer?

If someone still thinks they are doing themselves a favor by disabling the page file, they do deserve somewhat of a slap on the wrist. That's an extremely outdated way of thinking, with absolutely no proof or fact to support it, much like if I exclaimed that pigs can fly on their own.

That being said, the OP asked how to get rid of the message. After being uncooperative with system specs, the OP finally gave some useful info. The solution is to reconfigure the system properly by enabling a page file. Problem solved.

To the OP, this isn't XP, so don't treat it as such. One of the primary reasons for using Windows 7 is the better memory management. The best tweaking advice is "leave it alone".
