Hi, Can anyone tell me how to bounce emails back to a sender so that it registers on their compute that the message has not been received? I don't mean junk mail or spam which waits for me to delete it. I want to stop it from accesing my computer altogether.

Thanks,
CeeBee52

You can add the sender to your blocked sender list (right click on the sender's address - add to blocked sender

or you can create a rule
Select one or more conditions:
| | Where the from line contains people

Select one or more options
| | Do not download it from the server
| | Delete from Server

Neither of these sends anything back to the sender. why would you want to do that anyway?

Does using the "Bounce back" option confirm to the sender they have a valid email address by the return (Bounce Back) email?
Or, does it send back an "Undeliverable" email notification?
I'd like it if the return email is for an undeliverable address!

If the Bounce Back return email confirms your email address is valid, won't that open the possibility of more spam ... ?

What an excellent question. I have asked it on Microsoft Answers forum. Will post if a reply is given.

Thank you but in my version of WLM I can't locate the safety options tab - there isn't one. I also have no option on the blocked senders to bounce the email, or to delete from server. It's frustrating getting emails from someone you don't want them from. I just wanted to teach them not to do it.

Still trying but thanks. ??

RodeRunner: Thanks for the solution.

CeeBee52: Glad you're all set. However, sending them back an eMail might not "teach them not to do it". Some people just don't learn, or worse, they send you more. Especially in the case of spammers - just block them.

It's better just to ignore it in the blocked senders list.

That is of course up to you.
