I just downloaded the latest version of WLM, Build 15.4.3502.0922. I know that MS hides the menu bar by default. From the online resources I've seen, there should be a dropdown menu near the "?" at the right of the toolbar (circled area). In the past, bringing down that menu lets you show the menu bar. However, this build apparently doesn't have that option. The menu bar items do appear on the left (arrow), but I want them to appear in the traditional menu bar.

Alt-M, supposedly toggles the dropdown menu, but it doesn't work (at least for me they don't).

Does anyone know how to restore the menu bar in this latest WLM build?

What did I miss?

Thanks.

Are you referring to the Ribbon? If so, right click on the menu bar you see (Home, Folders, View...) and uncheck Minimize the Ribbon.

Sorry Arthur, but the traditional Menu bar in the older Windows Live Mail has been removed in Windows Live Mail 2011 and replaced by what you have pointed out in your screenshot and the ribbon bar instead. :(

OK, Brink. Thanks for clarifying this. Yes, that's disappointing, but there must be a way to rearrange things so that it's almost back to the way it was. I'll work on that.

And there's always Thunderbird.:D
