Windows Live Messenger 2009 Build 14.0 freezing

It just keeps freezing for no particular reason, it doesn't shows any kind of error, I can still see the webcam image, animations from emoticons, the ellipsis when my contact is typing a message and I still can hear the microphone sound coming from my friend during a call.
But I can't type, I can't click and highlight MSN's window and I also can't see the messages I recieve from my contact,
It just freezes for about five minutes, and then comes back like nothing ever happened.
I've already changed my LAN Settings on IE to do not automatically detect LAN Settings, and I also googled a lot, but I didn't find anything helpful.
If anyone can help me, I would be really thankful.

Have you checked for malware or tried the newer versions of WLM? I had freezing issues, but not as bad as you have, in older versions.

why don't you update to messenger 2011. works fine here.

Yes, I have tried to use the latest version of the software, and I had the same issues. Also, I recently have reinstalled my windows, and I had the same issues before doing it. Should I consider a BIOS Malware?

Tried closing all other apps using the internet ... just in case?

Yes, I did, I also didn't got any neither negative or positive results

Run the mrt application by going to Start -> Run / Search -> mrt

It didn't worked out, I don't really think it's a malware issue, I'm having the exacly same problems on my both VAIOs
