Ever since making the move to Windows 7 x64 in mid-August (when it was released on the MSDN Academic Alliance,) I've been having a bit of a problem...

Every so often, I cannot tell for sure, Windows Live Messenger 2009 (14.0.8089.726) stops responding. I don't know why, and Problem Reports does not give me any information that could help me.

I would rather not un-install Windows Live Messenger. :[

Help will be greatly appreciated.

i get this, not to often only once a month. but i don't get not responding, mine just freezes up completly and im unable to close the main window and any convos open. they just become part of the desktop so to speak. so i have to go into task manager and disable the msnmsgr.exe process. and open msn again. it happend on the RC too, maybe there will be an update soon. don't think there is any fix yet.

Lately, WLM has been having huge problems. I either recommend you switch to another client(aMSN, Pidgin), or you run it in Vista/XP mode, which will also bring the icon back in the system tray, by the way.

Yes, running in compatibility mode works perfectly, thank you ;)
