Is it still possible to run Windows Mail on win7 after service pack 1
I used the thread on this forum to get it to go after the initial install but SP1 has now killed it. I have tryed the same mod but it doesent seem to work.
I have looked at Windows Live Mail but it looks too complicated for my old brain.

Windows Live Mail looks complicated because you were looking at the 2011 version.
Its layout and methods of accessing options are different than WM.

However, you have an alternative.
Install Windows Live Mail 2009 version. It looks and works very much the same as WM. You should not have to spend too much time learning it.

I know exactly what you mean by " too complicated ".
I started with WM then moved on to WLM 2009, and now I am on WLM 2011. Took me a while to get use to 2011 version. Not as bad as you think.

I tried that & a little padlock appeared on it but it didn't change anything else.
I may have to go to Live Mail 09.
