Hey guys, first post here but don't worry I'm not a noob. I know my fair share about computers.
So anyway onto my question... I installed a new version of windows over my old one leaving me with the Windows.old file. I was wondering if i installed windows again if that first windows.old file will still be there with all the files from my first windows os.

It will unless you delete it. When you have everything you need from the windows.old folder and want to delete it you can run the disk cleanup wizard.

No

First you cant install more than one copy in a partition, second windows.old is not directly accessible.

What exactly are you trying to do?

I had problems with my stock version of windows (64 bit) so I installed another copy which is 32 bit. This was the only copy i had and it was an emergency. Right now im on the 32 so im going to install 64 over that. Am i going to lose the windows.old from the first installation?

OK so you wdent from 64bit to 32bit (not a clean install with format?) and now you want to revert back to 64 bit (again not a clean install unless you format)?

If you had problems with the original (I had problems with my stock version of windows (64 bit)) and you import the settings back, chances are you are gong to have problems again.

Is that really what you want to do ??
