The problem I'm having is that whenever i restart my computer or shut it down for a while and reboot my system a System disc check occurs.
It's telling me that there are no problems but this disc check keeps occurring.
Any suggestions to what I should do?

Assuming it boots to your desktop run a manual chkdsk from the command prompt with a repair option enabled... that should stop the loop, although it will require a reboot and must be allowed to complete the chkdsk cycle.

It'd also be a good idea to ensure SMART is enabled in the BIOS...

C:\chkdsk /f

Do you have a USB memory stick or a memory card of any kind plugged into a card reader? I have seen this cause repeated chkdsk operations on a few machines.

When I once had a similar problem, it was because one of my partitions (the one that it kept checking) was formatted as FAT32, rather than NTSF.

I had the same problem. Not sure if it was at every start up, but it was quite often. I made changes in two locations and the problem was solved. I found it in task scheduler and although this might not apply to you, my A/V Mcafee, had a tune up feature that was scheduling regular checks. Hope this or some of the other solutions works for you.

Hey Rich, what do I need to change in the task scheduler? This disc check is still occurring and I'm trying everyone's suggestions.

Azntwinkie,

In this case, you might consider doing a repair install to hopefully fix it without losing anything.

I actually tried disabling my disc check by changing my autocheck value in regedit to autocheck autochk /k:C *
DO you think this will work?

It should be changed to autocheck autochk * instead though.

Is it possible to do a repair install without the DVD? Because I downloaded Windows 7 online, so I didn't get a disc with it.

This happened to me, back in the days of Windows 7 RC. Chances are, you didn't do a FULL format on the drive Windows 7 is installed on.

Quick Format - Deletes all data and creates file system structures
Full Format - Checks for bad sectors, repairs them, deletes all data, and creates file system structures

After this happened to me, about 8 hours later in fact, every time I tried to download a file or save something to my drive, it would say something along the lines of "The file system is corrupt". I suggest doing a FULL format on your Windows 7 drive, and doing a clean install. Be sure to backup all data before hand. Hope this helped a bit.
