Windows Security Essentials 1.0 Error

Has anyone else encountered this error before? I couldn't update my Definitions for awhile and Windows Update found the latest one (1.61.628.0) and then Home page said "Not connected". I also get the error while trying to Upgrade MSE as what the Microsoft Help page mentions.

Are you connected to the internet the whole time you're updating?

Yea, or how else woud I be able to get the definition from Windows Update lol.

Well i've gotten that error when i was piggybacking off of a neighbor and lost wifi connection.

I couldn't update my Definitions for awhile and Windows Update found the latest one (1.61.628.0)

So what you're saying is that not only does WU find the update but also downloads it when MSE can't?

Yep that is correct.

Though, I am not piggybacking anyone, I'm on my own wifi connection which never ever closes down or anything (Guess Comcast loves me )
