Hi, I have been googling around and can't seem to find an answer that helps my case, pretty much my computer has been shutting down instead of going to sleep and when I start it up again it said windows didn't shut down properly, the first few times it gave me a BSOD stating DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE but it stopped giving me that. For some reason my computer doesn't create minidump files or dump files at all, I've read the 'How to configure windows to create dump files' and made the changes listed in the tutorial and I even downloaded the registry file but still nothing. It only happens when I've had it on for the day because if I restart it and put it to sleep within say, an hour, it will go to sleep properly but if it's been on for the day then I will hear some component in my computer turn off but the fans will keep running for 10 minutes until it switches off. The Event Viewer shows this

Hi D3CYFL.

DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSODs are not anything to be too much worried about (unless yours is a laptop with switchable graphics and the display driver is failing the power state). As yours a desktop, disabling hibernation is supposed to stop this BSOD.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/819-hibernate-enable-disable.html

But, a stop 0x159 is very uncommon. It is HAL_ILLEGAL_IOMMU_PAGE_FAUL .... a hardware issue, prima facie. Because HAL means Hardware Abstraction Layer. It would be easier to say anything more if we see a crash dump, but unfortunately the zip you uploaded does not contain any crash dump.

Follow it: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html
Go to Option Two, Point 2. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Now wait for another BSOD. When it occurred, search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. See if the crash dump is recorded or not (hopefully it will be recorded).Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

Dont run any disc cleanup tool before you upload another zip.

Thinking it as a hardware error, do some basic hardware tests.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Stress test the CPU.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/311593-speccy-publish-snapshot-your-system-specs.html .

Also, uninstall LogMeIn Mirror Driver (Display).

Let us know the results.

Hi, thanks for the response. The reason there isn't a crash dump attached is because my computer just doesn't want to create them. I downloaded the REG file a while and still no luck, I followed the tutorial on how to produce them but my computer still wouldn't make them, I made the page file bigger than my installed ram but still nothing. Last night though I used Command Prompt to disable hibernation and my computer successfully went to sleep so maybe that was the issue, I'm hoping that it is now fixed since it has been weeks since my last successful sleep. If it shuts down again I'll post back here with the memtest, stress tests and speccy screenshot. I will uninstall the LogMeIn driver now just to be safe. Thanks for your help I was thinking I might have to take my computer to a technician which I have never had to do.
