I have just installed Windows 7 Home premium on 2 computers. A 64 bit version on my desktop and a 32 bit version on my laptop. Both computers are connected to the internet via the same router. The 64 bit desktop will update but the 32 bit laptop won't, I keep getting the 80072efe error.
After reading numerous topics about this error whereby internet connectivity is the most likely cause for this error, I don't think this is the case here as stated above obviously internet connectivity cannot be an issue as one is updating and the other is not....
The laptop is a Fujitsu S6510 and I have downloaded all the latest drivers from the Fujitsu web site.
Other things I have tried....
Added windows update to trusted sites in IE
Turned off firewall
Turned off antivirus (MSE)
Run TDS killer (no threats found)
Deleted Catroot2 folder from system32 folder
Installed the latest windows update agent
Has anyone else had a problem like this? Any help greatly appreciated...
Cheers
