Hello guys, i've searched and saw that threads like this already exists but i couldn't follow and fix.

When i try updating i get the message Windows Update service is not working and restart may required but doesn't fix and anything after restart.
My last update was 29th of September i think

Also for some reason i don't have any system restore point.

Thanks in advance

OK - what about BITS?
NET START BITS

(it should already be running)

If that's OK, then do an SFC /SCANNOW, and reboot - try Windows Updates again

Just checking - that WAS an Admin Commnad prompt window? (prompt should be C:\Windows\system32>)

If so, then there is the problem , so we're one step ahead.
You say that System Restore is not working either - what happens with

NET START VSS

(I'm assuming that System Restore is actually switched on, according to the options in System Properties > System Protection)

It may also be worth checking the Software Protection Service.
NET START SPPSVC.

Have you been using any Registry Cleaners or similar products? - if so, which ones?

Start with teh SFC /SCANNOW anyhow - I can ponder the rest of your results while it's running :)

Sorry that was my mistake, it was not an admin command, so i'll continue with the SFC /SCANNOW and if the problem remains i'll post it.

When i typed NET START BITS it was not already running, it started after i run it.

No actual error message or reference code at all?
Let's start with the Check For Updates. You click on the link - what exactly happens? does the search proceed and then bomb out? or does it not even start?
If it completes - which Updates does it find?

Look in the History - the last couple of failed updates - what error is there if you double-clcik on them?

Hmm - that seems to be an 'out of memory' error, which is pretty unlikely,

What Anti-Virus are you using?
You mayt need to disable it (or even uninstall it) while running the tool.

NOD32 isn't known for giving problems (but I've never used it since about 2002!)

How much RAM do you have installed? - is WIndows managing the Virtual Memory, or do you have it locked?

Did you try aggresive mode?

Did anyone perhaps ''clean'' WinSxS on your computer, ran some tweaking tools, cleaned registry?

What are the error ID numbers you see in Event Viewer? Do you have the Software Distribution folder? Did you change security settings for your whole hard disk/system partition or the Windows folder?

OK, enough with the passive corrections :)
Run the Fixit 50123 from here (don't worry about the title)
You receive an error message when you try to install or run an Office program: "This patch package could not be opened" or "The installation source for the product is not available"
then test WU
if it still refuses to co-operate.
How do I reset Windows Update components? - run Fixit 50202 in Normal mode
test WU
then run Fixit 50202 again in Aggressive mode.
test WU,
then trey the CheckSUR tool again.
