Ok I did a rebuild of my Windows 7 32bit laptop 3 months ago. After the restarts as normal I tell Windows update to tell me which updates are available and I decide which ones to install. I install 145 updates and the normal restarts.
Windows updates now show all previous updates, which didn't happen before. As said the updates only come out on the second Tuesday of each month.
It still doesn't do the automatic system backup of the registry each day. I does a system backup of the registry when it installs the updates. I have to manually do a system backup of the registry everyday.
