windows update takes 1 day to complete 68 updates.

hello my name is juog i am using windows 7 ulitmate since 7 years but i have an issue. anytime when i try shuting down my pc anytime must be a "install updates and shut down" button. i want to know how to shut down my pc without updating. pls tell me how to fix this issue in thread. thanks.

reset windows update options to Never/let me choose

IF im remembering correctly the 68 updates are the first set to be installed after SP1
how many do you have installed
