Custom built my own computer back in May, and everything was working fine, then one day, updates kept failing and failing. I've gone through lots of Microsoft support pages but didn't find anything. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, verified. The OS is loaded on a Kingston v300 240gb ssd if that matters.

What happens is I go to shut down, and it will bring up the updates screen. 1 of 24, 2 of 24, and then it jumps to 14 of 24, then jumps to 24, then shuts down. The error code (after going into the manual updates and seeing why they failed) was 800B0100. Any way to fix this or am I gonna have to re-install the OS?

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file
