Windows won't fully start

They are both Sandisk Crusers purchased from Bestbuy so I don't think they're phony.

1. A new PM is out there!

2. Download the archived file from below link on win 10 pc, Extract it to a folder, Login as admin on the problematic pc ,move the folder to its desktop, open the folder, simply double click the .cmd file , upload the newly generated config.txt file & share the link in PM. The Archived File :
BiosConfig.rar - Google Drive

3. You can double click & access the generated config.txt file. It will give you some idea about your Bios setup.

4. One more PM is out there!

I need one more Bios report in PM. So,

1. Download this file on win 10 pc, Restart/Start your win 7 pc, Login as admin, Transfer the file to the folder that we placed on desktop previously, Move to the folder & execute this file. It will open a command prompt window with the report.
The file : BiosConfigVerbose.cmd - Google Drive

2. Now you have to copy the report/text from the command prompt, paste it into a text file, save it, upload & share the link. So, we would see how to copy the text from the command prompt to a text file:
(a) Right click the top bar of command prompt ( The bar is marked in yellow in the below image)



Then select 'Edit > Select All', press 'Enter', open a new text file, Right click in the empty place in it, select 'Paste' & save the file. Now you can close the command prompt window & share the file.

1) A PM is waiting for your response!
2) It would be very helpful to find the right ISO if you tell me exactly what type of windows license you are using/having on your win7. Run command slmgr /dli from command prompt or simply run this batch file from/on windows 7 pc.

Share all the info, need not mention 'Partial Product Key' but on your own compare it with the product key printed on the side sticker.

Forget everything & start from here.
1) Activation has nothing to do with these commands. Just count the days when you did the windows reinstallation, it is 30 days! Perhaps as we did not connect to internet , it could not be activated. So, for now just take the extension for another 29 days. You are supposed to open elevated command prompt & type slmgr -rearm & press 'Enter'. It will prompt to restart the pc, do so.
2) Here is how to open elevated command prompt :

3) After you have run the command & restarted, run this .bat file :

4) I suppose you have placed the two files BiosConfigUtility64.exe & BCUErr.cfg in c:\windows\system32 folder.
5) Open elevated command prompt. Type BiosConfigUtility64.exe /verbose & press 'Enter'
It will reflect report in the command prompt window. You have to copy that report from the command prompt window to a text file. Here is how : Windows won't fully start.
6) Open elevated command prompt. Type BiosConfigUtility64.exe /advanced /verbose & press 'Enter' Again, It will reflect report in the command prompt window. You have to copy that report from the command prompt window to a text file as told previously.
7) Share the two text files in PM.

Note : To type commands : Select ,copy & paste the exact commands (bold letters) to avoid any problems. Even an added or missing space would make commands useless.

EDIT: To clear any confusions : These two commands would not create a separate text files like the other/previous twos. Instead, they will show the report in a command prompt window & from there you have to copy & paste it to a text file. The procedure is mentioned above in the post #185.

That's a command error. There should be a space between slmgr & -rearm. Correct it, execute & restart the pc when prompted. That should change the bottom right corner status after the restart.

Actually i have put all the commands in bold letters in my last post & if you select the full command, copy it & paste it, there would not be any problems. For eg. if you had selected the text starting from s of slmgr through m of -rearm, there would have been no problems. That would have been slmgr -rearm

Try to execute all the steps as mentioned in my last post.

Need not fear even if the status maintained!

If you face problems, share the command prompt window as you did now & brief what exactly happened.

I post here with my other computer.
The one we're trying to fix you had me disconnect everything a long time ago.
But just to make sure I copied the commands you gave and transferred them to the other computer so I could copy and paste there.


It's not wanting to take.
It keeps saying that BiosConfigUtility64.exe is not a valid windows program or recognized command.
Error pics below.

Think I found the problem (or at least A problem) .

I was checking the files I copied to the system32 folder and the BiosConfigUtility64.exe file showed as 0kb.
So I recopied it into the folder and now it seems to have accepted the command.

1) You are supposed to run a command from elevated command prompt. So, open elevated command prompt & type slmgr -rearm & press 'Enter'. It will prompt to restart the pc, do so. Any change in the status ''This copy of Windows is not genuine'' ?

I re-armed the windows for another 30 days and the "not genuine windows" message disappeared from bottom right corner.

1. As per reports, an installation with simple/standard retail iso of win7 pro sp1 x64 should be activated online easily. You would need to enter the key during installation. Now we can wash out & optimize your hard disk without any fear. But its a later part!
2. Now we would again try to get verbose report about your Bios configuration. So,
(i) make a new folder in c: with the name NEW.
(ii) put the two files BiosConfigUtility64.exe & BCUErr.cfg in the newly created folder NEW
( If needed the two are here : The 2 files.rar - Google Drive )
(iii) we need to run some commands from the elevated command prompt so, open the elevated command prompt
(iv) type the command cd c:\NEW & press enter.
(v) now run BiosConfigUtility64.exe /?
(vi) now run BiosConfigUtility64.exe /verbose /GetConfig:verconfig.txt
Let us see what happens/appears in command prompt window & whether a verconfig.txt is created in the NEW folder , share it.
