Earlier today, I tried to uncheck a specific item using Autoruns, and this error message came up: Winsock Protocol Providers cannot be disabled. Is there a possible way to fix that?

What exactly are you trying to fix? If Autoruns didn't disable anything, there's nothing that changed.

That is not an error but an informational message. I see the same message on my system. The fact that Winsock providers cannot be disabled is by design. They can be deleted but you would need a very good reason to do that,.

Hi there, the reason why I am trying to disable them is because I bought my computer off eBay and it had Netintelligence installed on it and when I tried to uninstall it, it requried a password which I do not have. I read somewhere that I can use autoruns to remove it, but I get an error, which I have listed in my previous reply. Cheers!
