Solved WinZip 17

I just purchased WinZip 17.0 Pro.

Can someone with the Basic WinZip program unzip a WinZip 17 file?

I've always wondered.. when you get the trial Winrar, and then buy it.. what is the difference?
I guess same applies to this, but I've always been curious.

I'm wondering why you would purchase Winzip when windows has it's own zip file utility? To be honest I haven't used Winzip since Windows 98 / ME and if I want good compression on a zip or a rar file I just use Winrar, it's a much better compression utility than Winzip.

I don't know.... One thing, I didn't know Windows had a WinZip feature.

All I know is, I like to send a lot of pictures, and Outlook would not send them for me. I found out about WinZip, and it looks like a good program, and it works.

7ZIP is an excellent free compression program that can also open WinZip and WinRar formats.

If/When my subscription expires, I will take a look at 7Zip.
