Hi, recently clean installed Windows 7 home premium and can't connect to the internet because I keep getting that message.

Provider: Bell
modem: sagecom fast 4350
Connection: cable

Ran the ipconfig and got

Host name : my PC
Primary dns suffix :
Node type : hybrid
Ip routing enabled: No
Wins proxy enabled: No

Not sure if I did that right.

Uninstalled the driver and restarted the computer. Downloaded the realtek driver and updated it. On the device manager when I try to update the driver I get error code 10. Switch the Ethernet cable to see if it could be a damaged cable but same result. Not sure what else to do.

Thanks Ethel and samuria. I downloaded the realtek driver and it says connected. Now it says I'm connected to the internet, but I tells me I'm offline.

Nvm. I got it to work. Apparently switching my Ethernet from the modem to a different language port worked..... I don't get why that worked... But it did. Thanks for everyone's time.
