Wireless Connection issue

This might sound trivial but is your "WLAN Autoconfig" serice started?

Check this I have had issues with internal wireless before if your laptop has a physical switch for the wireless function make sure it's switched on look for WI-FI indicator light to light up if not look on your keyboard in the F keys row and see if there is a key with the symbol of an antenna if there is find the fn function button lower left push the fn and wireless key down together this is a toggle to turn the wireless radio on and off.

Ok. Now I know what your talking about. No I don't have one of these but i'll ask around and see if anyone I know does.

Oh. I feel a little silly now. I didn't realize you have to hit the function button to make those keys work..... Well this solves all my problems. Thanks everyone for all your help and sorry for wasting your time on something so ridiculous.

If you have a third party software that is in use to manage your wireless connections (some device do), this will override Window's built-in software. Would you have one?

I've got a similar issue. I've just upgraded to Windows7, previously everything was fine. Now I can connect through the LAN to everything. However when I connect Wireless I can get on the network but not the internet my error message is 'Cannot communicate with DNS service'. My router is Linksys WAG160N. My adapter is Atheros AR5007 and my laptop is a Compaq CG60-430SA. It took me ages to find the latest driver on the HP site and it made no difference. All the drivers are up to date, the router has been reset and my hair has been pulled out. any other ideas?
