my wireless connection on windows vista was just as good as ethernet but after upgrading to windows 7 last week my connection is almost unusable. my router and pci adaptor are both from netgear and are both from the same shop:

Netgear WNR854T RangeMax Next Wireless-N Cable Router Gigabit Edition

Netgear WN311B 270Mbps RangeMax Next Wireless-N PCI Adapter

i know that its not the router because laptops/ps3/xbox360 use wireless without any problems and get 9 mb/s downloading and 0.49mb/s uploading easy.

what could be casuing the problem? i was thinking of about getting a new pci adaptor: Linksys Wireless-N WMP300N but was unsure if it would work with my router.

any help would be useful as i'm no good with this stuff, thanks
