I have had pretty poor luck when it comes to wireless cards, so I thought I would post here for suggestions.

I started with a TP-Link TL-WN951N which caused audio stutters as well as mouse freezes at random points, this ended up being due to bad TP-Link drivers, unfortunately updating the drivers made no difference, as an alternative I purchased a Netgear N600 Wireless USB Adapter (WNDA3100v2) which has been causing BSOD, after seeking help in the BSOD forum I have found that this is a result of the Netgear scmndisp.sys driver, again updating the drivers has made no difference.

I hope that I can get some suggestions on a good quality, fast and reliable Wireless Network Card, after searching I have found that Windows 7 and USB adapters don't work well together, so I would like get an internal Wireless Card.

In case it is needed, my motherboard is a Z68A-D3H-B3

thanks,

I'm not bias towards Intel, but you can try Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 for Desktop. It has a PCI-E x1 connection. In addtion, you can also replace its supplied Intel Centrino 6205 with a wireless AC adapter like Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 mini-PCIE half height card. I'm not sure if the integrated bluetooth will work though. I currently use Wireless-N version of Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 without the integrated bluetooth and I get stable wireless N connection and an average ping of 1 ms to the router. So far no driver issues with the Intel 7260.

BTW, this is on a laptop. I don't know how would the driver perform at the desktop platform, but you can also try ASUS PCE-N15 PCIE internal wifi adapter though it's not a dual band adapter.

why do not you use power line plug adapter, it is a better solution than searching for a wireless card..
i am using them now and the internet speed i get is nearly as the one i get when i connect my Ethernet cable connected directly from my super hub to my power line adapter..
the one i amusing is from power on and it works fine.. and relatively cheap

I've never had a problem
With USB adapters and windows 7. The alfa ones work great and are fairly cheap.

Hello,

Check out this one. Anything with detachable antenna is highly recommended so that you may replace them with high gain dBi antenna. There's nothing wrong with using a USB Wi-Fi adapter IMO. I've used them in Windows 7 without any problems.
