WMP 12 won't delete movies!!

Try deleting them when you take Ownership of the file. and see if this helps.

Tried it, didn't work. Even after a reboot the movie links or icons still stay in the wmp library. When I point wmp to my movies folder where I want it to get all my movies from they add to the library fine but a close and re-open of wmp and there gone.

well, I fixed it, followed the steps on this site Fixing When Windows Media Player Library Won’t Let You Add Files :: the How-To Geek
Seems like I had a corrupted database, deleted all the files in a certain wmp folder, restarted windows, then wmp rebuilt the library and the movies that I were trying to delete were gone. Fixed everything.
