I am confusing when I open a song by WMP (updated). Before the window of WMP plays the audio file, it scans (I think) all disk or at least DVD drive, that makes the dvd drive generates sound of spinning. The sound is very quick, I'm sure my drive is normal, and that sound is also normal. But it happens each time I open WMP the first time since the last Windows boot of logging on. Then it doesn't happen for the second file.
I wonder how to "turn off" the checking or thing cause that.
My laptop is Asus, which uses ATK Package for its function. In this package, there is a process called "ATK media". When it is turned on or off (on is default, starts with windows as a process), the sound of DVD drive still appears.
How can I do for this?
Please read my description carefully because I'm sure the drive works well!
Thanks for your suggestions!:D

Just a thought.

Their is a possibility that your security programs are scanning the DVD when you are inserting it for the first time.

I don't install any AV, Windows defender is turned off.
However now I find that it doesn't happen in second time, but i can happen some time after that :sarc:
