i just upgraded to windows 7 from vista and now it wont shut down it just says it shutting down and stays on that screen

No problem, just quit those processes before you start shutting down.i have this exact same problem but when its on the shutting down screen i cant use task manager for some reason to find out which programmes are the problem??

pen your registry,go to--->START,RUN and type REGEDIT, hit enter or ok,backup your entire registry{just in case},click on EXPORT at the top of the registry window left,and save it to any place you want,then go to---> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--->SYSTEM--->CURRENTCONTROLSET--->CONTROL--->SESSION MANAGER--->MEMORY MANAGEMENT and find the key"ClearPageFileAtShutdown" if this key is set to "1" you must change it to "0",right clic on the key,clic on MODIFY and set it to "0",clic ok,close the registry and restart your system,that's all.i just upgraded to windows 7 from vista and now it wont shut down it just says it shutting down and stays on that screen
Have you tried my suggestion above?what if its already 0 and it still wont shut down
