My default PDF viewer in Windows is Nuance PDF (set via Control Panle/File Associations).

I have a number of PDF documents on my machine to which I have hyperlinks set up in Word 2010 documents. When I click on the hyperlink to view a PDF, instead of opening the document in Nuance PDF reader it is opened in Adobe Reader - which promptly sets about converting the document in some way. Not very good if its a big document! The document also display differently than in Nuance, and is not as readable.

How can I get Word to use Nuance as the PDF reader? _ I've checked the file associations via Control Panel, and canot see anthing there. I have also checked the options in Word and cannot find a setting that would explain the problem.

Resolved - the brutal way. Simply de-installed the Adobe product, now word uses my default PDF reader. Though it does keep asking if the document source can be trusted (it can,its on the same PC!)
