Okay, so I made a topic awhile back when I was considering upgrading my current PC. However, I did not get it upgraded, as some of the upgrades appear to be incompatible with my current PC, and in the end it proved itself to be cheaper to just purchase a new computer that was built from scratch. I also saved up a bit more money to work with.

For $1,500, I would have this:

Processor: AMD FX-8350 CPU, 4.00 GHz/8MB L2 Cache

RAM: 16 GB [4 GB X4] DDR3-2133 Memory (Corsair Vengeance)

Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 7970 - 3GB

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 -- AMD 970

Battery: 850 Watt - Corsair CMPSU-850AX

Harddrive: Dual 1TB Drives - RAID 0 High Performance

This would be a PC that is used for playing games such as Bioshock Infinite, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, and also doing game development with the UDK engine.

I just want to know if that would be a good PC, or if it wouldn't be fast enough for what I'd be doing with it, and if it isn't good enough, just let me know what I should improve.

I would consider a solid state drive to replace one of the HDD's.

I would agree with Golden on the SSD. But, I don't see $1500 there. I think you could get that cheaper or get more for the price you quoted. I see about $1200, but no case or CPU cooler mentioned. But to answer your question, yes, that computer would do what you want to do, pretty well.

Well, if it'll work good for what I want to do, I'll go ahead and get it. :P

Yes, that build will run everything you want it to. Just as everyone else has mentioned, you should look into getting a SSD. It will make a difference and you will not regret it.
