XML Core Update Fails

I have tried the following update several times and it always fails:

"Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Service 4.0 Service Pack 2 for x64-based Systems (KB954430)

Anyone know why?

Thanks Kari but are you sure those are for Win7? I could not find the update it references to remove from the programs list. Also, it states to go to 'control panel' add/remove software but this leads me to believe that this might be for XP as add/remove software in Win7 is now called 'programs & features'

It's a knowledge base article about this Windows Update error, not mentioning any Windows version. I'm still googling...

It seems there is some kind of version conflict. Read this.
