Have you tried downloading the Xvid codec, then playing the files in quicktime?

Hi,

Here's an easy way to do what you require...
You can convert avi to mov using free Oxelon Media Converter.

Step 1. Download and install Oxelon Media Converter: click here to download converter [2.7 MB].

Step 2. Download and install Oxelon Media Plugins: click here to download plugins [1.2 MB].

Step 3. Launch Oxelon Media Converter. Select Media Format: MOV.

Step 4. Select Video Codec: Quicktime MPEG4 or Quicktime H263 or Quicktime SVQ1 Sorenson Video.

Step 5. Select Audio Codec: AAC or MP3 or PCM.

Step 6. Optionally, you can adjust Width and Height, Frame Rate, Video Bitrate, Audio Bitrate, Sampling Rate and Channels.

Step 7. Click Add Files.

Find your AVI file(s). Select file(s) using combinations of standard keys Shift + Up/Down Arrows or using mouse, and click Open.

Step 8. Click Browse... to select the path for saving. Choose any folder where you want to save your MOV file(s). Click OK.

Step 6. Finally, click the button Conversion.

Done! Your avi file(s) will be converted to mov file(s) and saved in the folder you have specified.

   Note
You may need to run the install in Compatibility Mode for Vista

By the way Sordid is that Super &Copy the software that loads AVS4YOU?
Its a bit misleading because you think you are downloading free software named
Super &Copy and end up downloading AVS4YOU which is not free.
