Lately when I close a chat window in Y! Messenger (a window that is either maximized or manually stretched to fit the size of my computer screen) and either open a new one or a contact IMs me, the window will go from the size I made it to a 2 inch by 2 inch (roughly) square in the top left corner of my screen.

I have tried running it in Compatibility mode for XP and Vista (in several service packs) and out. I am running it as admin. I have gone into the properties and changed the "Run" category from normal window to maximized. I have gone back and forth between those, applied the changes. I have tried CTRL+click and drag. None of this has done any good.

Yes, I have contacted Yahoo! about this but I am not about to hold my breath as they have never been any help to me in the past. I'm still waiting for them to fix issues they claim to know about and claim that they are fixing from over a year ago.

So, folks... can any one help??

Not the best answer, but have you tried Pidgin? It's open source and will work with MSN, Google Talk, Yahoo, AIM and other chat networks all at once.
Pidgin, the universal chat client

No, I havent... but I will keep that in mind if I get totally fed up with YIM, which is about ready to happen. Its just that I'm also very stubborn and I'm comfortable with YIM and I hate having to learn all the ins and outs of a new IM system, plus there are features of YIM that I really do like, so I'd like to try and fix this if its at all possible.
