Error 8050800c definitions Windows defender

Greetings.

I'm getting error 8050800c when I try to update the definitions of Windows defender.

Finished doing a clean reinstall of Windows 7 64 bits, all other updates are installed correctly.

This is the only one that gives an error. I have run virus and malware scans and everything looks clean.

Will they know that this error may be causing? Thanks beforehand for your attention.

Have you tried deleting the softwaredistribution folder and redownload the WD definitions? The only conclusion I can make from the extremely vague information I could get off the internet about this error code, is that it is an 'unexpected' problem and may be a corrupted update during download.

Thanks for the suggestion, but there was no difference in deleting the folder you mentioned.

Deleting the Software Distribution folder is Never a resolution. Perhaps, renaming it, under rare circumstances after perusing the relevant logs which we don't have currently.
