One more thing that I can think of...

Go to your device manager.. Uninstall your Network Card

and reboot your computer

and then windows will reinstall the drivers

Tried that as well and installed newer drivers to boot. Again no change. I am at a loss.

Can I just ask the DNS settings in both IPConfigs seem to include Public DNS ips, are these entries manual from another setup or configured through DHCP?

if they are manual, try setting them to DHCP or auto.
...Maybe the public network you are on doesn't allow the use of external DNS providers.

No they are auto. The only thing I can think to do at this point is reload windows 7 from scratch. I will be away for the next week but if anyone else have any ideas I would appreciate the help.
