I know, but it was signed originally and the guy who managed it said he did it on pure luck, so it's all about luck with the Sensation as well.

Who's rooted their Android phone?

I've been fiddling with my phone (and bricked it once), but now its been flashed to the latest version of Android (GIngerbread) that most other handsets don't even have. Even better its faster than the factory upgrade. So who else has flashed theirs? Its the old, basic (but not anymore) GT 540.

Netflix on a 4" screen? At least for me, the core essentials are working better - media player, basic browsing etc. I'd prefer the latest updates over a few reticent apps.

I have a Xoom, while its not as big as my tv its still very convenient.

I'm using custom rom 2.3.4,and its working great. Only bad thing is that camera is limitted with VGA,and 2D is not so good optimized.

i was using 'lookout mobile security' for a while, but haven't bothered reinstalling since my latest rom flash.

i wasn't sure if i needed it, so i removed it for the sake of running a lean mean android machine. (i have limited hardware on my cheap phone.)

I read that Lookout is good. I was using ESET for a while. ATM I'm not using AV.

Got bored of stock Android, so been playing with some Sense ROMs. Started using a ROM called Reflex Sense, which is a mix of stock Android and Sense 2.1 with Sense 3.0 lock screen.








Only problem I have with Sense is I find 7 homescreens too much lol.

More room for widgets LOL. It does look pretty nice though I'm running CM7 on my droid seems pretty nice minor issues nothing major.
Ran Gingerbread for a long time it was nice....

CM7 is a nice stable OS for a 3rd party ROM. Currently running on my G-tablet..especially like the fact that the Netflix app runs there also, haven't run into any issues other than no hardware acceleration or HD video thanks to Viewsonic and Nvidia dropping development and OS improvements for this product after 3 months despite their insistence that they support all their products for 1 year after original purchase.....Support means nothing if the manufacturer does not make any attempt to fix the glitches that the product ships with and this is what is happening over and over in the Android realm......I really like the product but the continual issues give it a less than finished feel.

I've gone back to Oxygen ROM. As much as I love Sense, the ROMs just seem a bit sluggish at times. Gonna wait until HTC release the official Gingerbread Sense ROM at the end of July then I'll give some more a try.
