I just put one in my Corsair Carbide 400R and the LED color matches perfect to the stock Corsair LED colors. I'm not sure if the White addition 600T has white colored fans but my original 600T does. The best feature with the Scythe is you can turn the display off but still have control of the fans. Here it is in my 400R.

For some reason, in the pictures the lights look more like blue. But they are white.


Im actually thinking of swapping out the front fan with a Coolermaster MegaFlow, since it looks like they move more air.
Possibly with a red led, and do some red lighting on the inside

That case just says classic all over it. Like you mentioned the white looks even more amazing in person. I love the simple window on the side, the fan controller and front IO's on the top. It's a large mid-tower bordering on full tower size and I like it tons ! Great job and take lots of pictures of the final build and post.

I have the CM Scout, very nice and lots of space, looks like there's lots of space in yours too!

Ive been experimenting with this case for optimal cooling.

So far, all is well & GPU temps look good etc. although I still may change the front 200mm fan for a higher airflow one.

But, Ive noticed with the way I have it set up, my HD temps are a bit higher than they were in my Antec 900 case. Presumably because they dont have a 120mm fan blowing right on top of them.

At any count, the SmartData for the 2 drives is showing 41/42 idle temps.
Under stress (defrag run) they peaked at 43/44.

I was under the assumption 60C or so was MAX, and 40ish was perfectly fine. I guess Im just used to seeing them run much cooler than that.


At any count, thoughts? Should I maybe add a fan to blow on them?


Perfect Disc is showing the average temps were 35C, give or take, when they were in the old case.

Doesn't the 600 have mounts for a 120mm hdd fan?

Was one of the great points of the 800.

I like my NZXT phantoms take on HHD cooling, as the fans are attached to the side panel.

It has a 200mm intake fan.
The 2 HD bays can be removed, or repositioned.

With the stock fan, airflow get choked a bit in the default position.
I moved the top HD bay, to left (on the floor) of the bottom one.

It helped some, but in the end I removed to bottom HD cage all together leaving just the floor mounted one closest to the PSU.

then moved my SSDs up to a 5.25" bay (Had a double mount bracket for them.
Improved Airflow alot.



Just got this pic from the interenet cuz Im lazy, but you can see how its setup.

The downside is the HD cage doesnt get quite as much airflow.



Biggest reason Im thinking of replacing that intake fan. It just doesnt seem to move as much air as it should.

Are those not 120mm fan holes I spy on the HHD racks?

Sware I've seen a setup with sideways mounted fans. Airflow will obviously be minimal as its sucking air against the side panel

No. If your refering to the holes Im thinking you are, those are to secure the cage to the chassis itself.

No way to really mount a fan on the from or back of the cage either.
However, I could fix on to the side.

I think try a better 200mm first, and then if need be look for other ways to add the 120mm. Cant wait to see the full project.
