Heh I love all the maybe not useful but fun to play with stuff. I did a really weird little quest that gives you a really wierd little staff which when used performs a completely random magic attack.

It's not too useful except it has shown me just how powerful summoning the undead is. Not because they are all that strong, but simply to draw fire! All these arch mages lately are kicking my you know what. I need to start taking a whipping boy (or girl) companion or work up my Conjuration skills. It's amazoing how fast an arch mage can take you down even with your legendary ebony armor

Hahaha, yeah i know, i bought a new companion so lydia could chill....and this one tried to fight an frost dragon alone...he took a knee after like 10 seconds....so i kinda killed him....worst 500 gold i ever spent lol

Yeah I did that quest, and the Staff is called the Wabbajack. Haven't used it since doing the quest though, might give it another try. A really good staff use against foes is the Staff of Magnus, drains magika and/or health at a good clip.

@ fseal - Haven't been back to Whiterun, we'll see when I visit again though I suspect the issue will be gone by now.

As for shouts, I've got a few though I don't have the ones you mention yet, but I know I will. The one I really like is the slow time, though the effect is a little short.

Anyway as I've been saying, despite the bugs, this really is a fun enjoyabel game, and long at that. Bethesda may pull of Game of The Year trophy out of this one.

Yeah that slow thing is cool, and i think the new batman thats coming out will give skyrim a good run, there are milions of fans for both games, i vote skyrim over and over, cause anwer this, does batman have dragons? Lol

Also today i had the best fight, vampire lord vs warewolf!! I kicked his pale dead body all over skyrim haha

It wasn't boiling my blood - you're the one who had to defend those numbers since no one else could come close to those (150-200)

Anyway thanks for the correction, we wouldn't want people chasing those numbers and thinking their system is broken

I guess you'd have to pony up 10k for someone that's at least level 30

Speaking of things getting killed needlessly, I finally broke down and installed the "Essential Horse" mod from Skyrim Nexus. It makes your horse an "Essential character" which means they cannot be killed. The number of times I've had to restart from a save because of my stupid horse... ugh. Well no more!

I've gone into caves with noone around and come out and found an imperial guard standing there and my horse dead. WTH?!?

Alright so I'm having sweet moments with this game.

Guys, do not install the BETA-driver Nvidia released, it made my game lag.
For some reason shadow quality is very demanding in this game so I just turned it off, if you want to spare a couple of fps'.

I still haven't tried any mods yet. I don't think I will until I after I finish the game. Like to see what the base game is all about before I try any mods.

In fact the only Bethesda game I modded was Oblivion, but I did that before even playing the game.

Haven't run into the issue where my horse is dead after leaving someplace. I did however lose my horse, to never have it recovered again. Had to purchase a new one. Hmmmm..... maybe he ran off and died somewhere....

Oblivion is an absolute fantastic game.
So is the whole Elder Scroll saga.

Yeah, have lost him but got him back when fast traveling to my current location (fastest way to find a lost horse) but also had him NOT come back and that's what I figured too, that he'd wandered off or been chased off some distance and died :/

With the essential horse mod he still wanders off, but at least he's safe and sound

With all the icons on the compass, where is the "my horse" icon?!?! I really like riding him around but... hunting him down after a dungen scour is kind of a pain.

You can get a wistle mod for your horse, so if he is gone,just wistle and he will come running lol

I saw that That worked great on Red Dead Redemption, would have been nice to have in the game. Maybe I'll give it a try, it seemed a bit hacked from the desc though.

Don't know, didn't look it up. All I know is Steam did the auto update.

Yeah,it makes it allot easier to get back your horse....but,as i have noticed before some mods realy mess the game up, like the last one made my game freeze every 5minutes,but if that mod does do something bad, you can allways delete it.

After reading all the comments on the new patch, i desided not to update, my game work perfectly, havent had the purple armor thing for days, and had no CTD since i changed the sound mhz, so all work well, and i am not gonna risk that with a new patch

Well unless you have it set up where you told Steam NOT to update your game, it was updated. By default any game you load will automatically be set to automatically update the game to any patches released....



Just so you know

Also be aware that any game you buy from Steam will automatically include the latest patch(es).

Hehe, that almost happend to me, luckely with another game I set it to notify me before any downloads, so i stopped the update...one problem now, is everytime i exit the game and re-enter it wants to update, so everytime i have to go trough a stupid "cancel update?". "are you sure?" thing lol, seems they are determant that i update it, and even though i dont want to, i eventually will...thats just the way it is.
