HI !!

We have three computer at home, 2 pc, one Mac.

The Alienware is set for printing purpose and filing.

The mac connect well with it.

But my toshiba, with the exact windows 7 can't go into the files of the Alienware.

I read all the troobleshooting, but that never answer my problem. The Mac connect without problem at all.

In my Toshiba, I saw the Alienware, but when I click to have accès, nothing work, I even saw some files that don't existe anymore on the Alienware.

(we didn't connect the mac and the toshiba togheter, it's useless for Us)

We want both computer having accès to the Alienware.

Did someone can help me???

Sorry for my broken english.

Also, my Toshiba his in French and the other in English, did that matter?

You mention using a Homegroup but maybe you don't realize that Homegroup is only made for Windows 7 machines. You should leave the Homegroup on all Windows 7 machines. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/43980-homegroup-leave.html

Using the guide below should help you get sharing set up between those machines.

Access Mac Files from Windows 7 | Share Mac Files with Windows 7 | Mac OS X

To clarify... the alienware his window 7... my toshiba is windows 7

Mac not at all, but he's the only one working well with the alienware network.

we don't want to go into the mac...

The mac work very well.

it's my toshiba wha don't want to work correctly...

because the Alienware have full acces to my files.

Still you will need to leave the Homegroup you created on both Windows 7 machines because you have a mixed Op system network.

After that you can create a standard Workgroup although if there is a Mac in this workgroup the link for setting up the Mac for sharing would be relevant.

For the Windows 7 machines you can set up a basic Workgroup or you can set up the sharing permissions and Security on the folders you want to share or the actual drive using the link below.

Yes making sure the sharing permissions are set up correctly usually fixes these types of problems. ;)
