Hi all
I 've tried google chrome -- but unlike you guys who bookmark and quick link all over the internet I don't use that many sites.
Two features really have put me off Google Chrome -- trivial they may be but if you have to change the whole way of working then you have to ask is it worth it.
1) fairly trivial and I suppose I could go without it -- I like having the menus (File, Edit, View, Favorites Tools Help) under the address bar as per IE8 (you have to set always show menus in the folder options in the Windows control panel) to access recently visited sites.
I'm not a big fan of tabbed browsing --of course that's just choice.
2) SHOWSTOPPER -- I use the DROP DOWN in the IE address bar a lot -- since I don't use that many internet sites regularly I find this far more convienient -- Google Chrome doesn't have this yet (or I can't find it).
Speed and other things Google chrome is fine -- and I've still got it for those cases where IE8 crashes -- doesn't seem to so much now after the latest W7 updates.
Cheers
