So, as @karlsnooks and @golden had said, I downloaded an ISO file from Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life.
And using a Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool, I burned it into a USB stick.
Now, when I boot from it, I get to the Window home screen, and when I proceed, I get this message:

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step." <Browse> <OK> <Cancel>

When I browse and point it to the Boot folder, this message comes:

No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers and then click OK.

I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. What I'm planning to do is FORMAT my whole PC and do a custom install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 again.

Where did you get Ultimate? How do you plan to activate it?

The error is always a problem with the installer as obviously the USB stick needs no DVD driver. Try writing the confirmed ISO to stick using Universal USB Installer to compare what happens.

What did you use originally to see 7 installed? If your first install was without SP1 the SP1 iso from the site won't help you any since the product key is pre-SP1 and simply won't see any clean install using the download from there activate!

As for the write to flash drive or the download itself it may have only been a partitial or bad download where a second download would be needed. If the write to flash drive was incomplete using another program like the shareware version of UltraISO would be advised. After numerous writes for both 7 isos as well as for other OSs that has been reliable.

The other program better for burning iso images to blank dvds has been the Passcape ISO Burner which will only write Windows isos to flash drives. It will burn any iso to disk however and has been found a good freeware for dvds.

@Night Hawk, since you said that the OS wont see my earlier install, what do you suggest?

And I'm pretty much sure that the ISO i've downloaded works fine.

And why would I need a Linux based thing? I'm trying to install Windows.

The link posted earlier was so you could read what the other program is mainly used for. The other two programs however generally work well for Windows iso files as far as burning to disk or seeing them written to a usb flash drive made bootable.

As for the problems installing like I was saying it could have been from a bad download where you would need to download again or a bad write to the flash drive where something went missing.

You first step as pointed out by gregrocker however would be wiping the drive even the primary to start off fresh from start with everything new. That would insure any drive error present or forming are cleaned off before the new install is seen.

If your original 7 install did not include SP1 however the iso from the site there simply won't activate with the product key you already have. You would then the key for a 7 with SP1 dvd.

So, when I tried to install the OS into another drive of my PC, it stopped mid-way and said that this version of the OS could not be installed in your system. And that I must go to Upgrade Advisor to find out more about it.

So, in the end, I couldnt do anything.

What I though was, I'll install it in another drive and format the drive in which my current OS is installed. But the plan failed.

Any suggestion?

Use diskpart?

And one more thing. Will all this problem go if I just install the OS through a DVD drive? I just want to get rid of the current OS, and this USB thing is not helping me.

He has a custom build not an OEM system there. greg. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html

But for replacing the present OS installed you would want to do exactly as outlined before as far as nuking the OS drive clean in preparation for a clean install of 7 either by a usb install key or by dvd. You would to install 7 on the intended OS drive not simply to another and then dump the other OS.

Besides that you may want to consider the 32bit Ultimate over the 64bit due to the system specs you have there. On one old beater case with only a pair of 512s for memory and a 128mb AGP card plus onboard sound I tossed a temp install on the old 250gb ide of the 32bit Ultimate without a problem. I think the 64bit install might have also run into a few problems on that old case.
