Some of the places they've actually labelled their cables in both ends, so they'd easily find what switch they're connected to. Super clever.

The thing with small/medium companies and IT guys and labeling is we know that port 46 from the main building hits port 16 in the education block and port 14 feeds the sales dept switch, but if we write it down or label we lose the indispensable tag

Definitely, lol. I'm working a little for my dad etc. Today I've been at two guys' place. Their computer skills are some-what normal, but within a few areas they show quite a lot of expertise. It's funny to see how people can gain expertise within one subject of technology, but can't with another.
Tomorrow I'm going to visit another beautiful building.
