Solved how to Full/quick format on windows 7 installation

I just want to ask how can i full format my hard drive upon installing windows 7? because there is no option for that in the windows 7 installation unlike windows xp it has the option if you want a full or quick format before installing windows xp. thank you

Hello and welcome creepted mate I am wondering if you have access to a second machine you can wipe the drive and format it with? Or if you have an OS already running then install the new drive and format it from that. Then remove the old drive instal;l and wipe the first drive to use as a back up drive.
Thats what I would do anyway.

You need to choose the 'Custom (advanced)' option during installation.

thank you for your warm welcome guys and for your different advices.. i am getting ideas from you all. i also want to ask about this picture

i hope you notice the difference that in windows xp there is a full format option and in windows 7 there is not.
i believe that it is not a full format in windows 7 because i have installed windows 7 for a few times. i only have 1 1tb internal hardrive and i am planning to have clean install of windows 7. but i want to full format it first.

When you select an unallocated disk and click on Next, Windows will automatically format it for you. There's no need to do a full format to reinstall Windows.

If you really wanted to, then you could use the "Clean" or "Clean all" command at boot, and do the above afterwards to do so.

Yep mate and you an do the same with wipe it Partition Wizard I find it a bit quicker than the clean all but thats just my own preference - sorry Brink

Sorry mate wasn't trying to steal the show but that PW now comes with some real good tools for recovery too and is a must have on my machines.
