Wow. He has system specs. Allow me to help you. ;)

First suggestion is to make sure you have the latest DirectX installed. Also, make sure your drivers are all properly installed - check the device manager for oddities, like exclamation marks, etc.

None of the Beta/RC keys can be used to activate the RTM, if this is what you're asking.

Hi izzdihar,

The memory could be the problem. Remove the 667MHz stick and try again with just the 800MHz. If you have 2 sticks of the 800MHz, then ensure that you have them in the correct sockets for dual-channel support.

Win7 tends to be more selective about the hardware you are using.

It's never a good idea to mix different types of Ram in the same system.

You should have no problem once you remove the 667 memory from the board.

IZZ

Could you go into event viewer (type event viewer in search) and goto the windos log>app tab and see what errors relating to the problem are reported. If any could you use the snipping tool (type snip) to take a screenshot and upload it to us?

Thanks

Ken

Ok so you can't get WEI to work.. Big deal? Once the computer is performing how you want it to, those numbers do not matter.

I don't see what's the big deal about it. To me, it does not even rate your computer properly and people just use it to say who has the bigger "e-penis".

The point is, it works.. It works how you want.. WEI is not going to make it faster.. So relax, it's not a big deal..

Just my .2c

WEI is messed up?

Hi,

I'm also one of those weird guys who are trying to get their WEI up and running although it isn't really necessary... :p

But seriously, I'd appreciate any help I can get. It finishes the test, but when it does, it just gives me the regular "The Windows Experience Index for your system could not be computed.

Also, I ran it just fine when I first installed Windows 7. The first time I got a different value than the second though. And then I re-installed the OS and it didn't work at all...

Cheers,
Thanks for all the help in beforehand! ;)

VHD?

Are you booting from VHD?

Sorry, VHD? Virtual Hard Disk?

I have installed Win 7 on my WD 1 TB hdd, and I do not dual-boot. So the Win-partition is C:.

Thanks for the help, even though I don't know what VHD is...

Cheers!

Hi,

I'm also one of those weird guys who are trying to get their WEI up and running although it isn't really necessary... :p

But seriously, I'd appreciate any help I can get. It finishes the test, but when it does, it just gives me the regular "The Windows Experience Index for your system could not be computed.
Cannot complete assessment.
The assessment or other operation did not complete successfully. This is due to an error being reported from the operating system, driver, or other component.
"...

This is the last section from my errorlog:
