Hello,
I occasionally find myself needing to move a file up one level in the directory structure. Which means I need to open the current folder's parent folder in a new window. If I set Tools > Folder Options > Open each folder in its own window, then an alt-up does indeed do this, but I don't want Open each folder in its own window always on.
Is there some other keyboard shortcut I can use other than alt-up to open the parent folder in a new window?
My current workaround is to use the unintuitive navigation pane as a destination for file moving/copying. I suppose I could also use cutting and pasting of files instead.
Is it possible to customise any of the right-click-contextual menus in Windows 7? If I right-click on any of the 'breadcrumbs' in the top of a window, it gives me four completely useless options such as Copy Address and Delete History. I do wonder if the idiots who create Windows 7 ever actually use it. An obvious thing to have in this contextual menu would be 'open this folder in a new window'. Is there any way to add something like that?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
