This monitor cam with the Studio XPS system some years ago. It seems I've always had a pop up that a USB device can't be connected after the second wake up from sleep mode but never had any device that wasn't working.

Never used my Webcam ever and discovered that error just lately is from the Webcam which "after" said error doesn't appear in device manager other a yellow triangle device. Before that at power up, I have a working Webcam under Imaging Device but after the pop up, I have no Imaging Device. Rebooting doesn't help only a complete power down and up solves the issue.

Thanks but that's for a touch screen model and mine is the analog version. I do have the same package for mine but was going to make a backup before I take the plunge.

You said yours is the T model that means touch. Which letter do you have at the end of the of it? I imagine the driver for the camera is the same on all of them though since they just carry over parts. I also agree an image can't hurt before trying it out.

My bad, brain fart! It's listed exactly as a Dell SX2210(analog).

Tried that one. I already had the pop up so after the install/reboot, no change. I powered down/up and Webcam showed as working in the Device Manager but I had a sound chime on start up. I had a yellow triangle in Sound Video and Game Controllers for a Webcam. Uninstalled, refresh, it went away replaced by one for a USB Sound Device, uninstalled/refresh and it went away. One sleep mode, no Imaging Device and the same old yellow triangle was back under USB Controllers! Oh well.....
