Getting Photos into DVD Burn File

This may sound simple to some, but I have yet to find anybody with an answer. I have almost 300 photos of my grandson and want to burn them to a DVD. I have used the burner in Windows DVD Maker, but cringe having to hold the Control Button and click on every single photo to get it into the burn file. There has to be an easier way. They are all in one file, but asking it to move the entire file to the burn file doesn't work right. One slight move of the mouse when clicking and I suddenly have copies of everything I've clicked on! BTW, I would like the DVD to play as a slide show.
I tried highlighting the file, right clicking on it and telling it to go to the D - Drive and then telling it to burn, but that didn't work. That only gave it the location of the info that it then could go retrieve. Thanks.

To select all of the files in a given folder, the command is CTRL-A. You can also choose a file, then move down the folder filenames until you get as far as you wish, then select all the files between your first clicked one and the one you are on by holding the shift key and left clicking. That may help with that.

Not sure about the slide show, though. I think that is accomplished by playback software, like Windows Media Player.

I am not the biggest genius when it comes to burning disks, so I think that I will leave that part of your post for someone else to comment on. I use a software app called CDBurnerXP that works just great for burning data files. It probably works with pictures as well, since they are just data files.

Again, I will leave it to a more experienced member to comment.

Most software like Nero you can just select all files or drag and drop it has wizards to do most work for you

Nero (the 'free' one that comes/used to come with new cd/dvdrom drives) is better than windows' burner, I have never used the windows burner, , , ,

When I went to the Windows DVD Burner, I can select Slide Show. When it came to selecting all of the picture in the folder, The CTRL-A worked great. Unless you're a computer jock, most of us don't know the CTRL, ALT and other keyboard shortcuts. Thanks.
