Have drive icon directly on Taskbar? Not Explorer?

Is it possible to have the Drive icon DIRECTLY on the taskbar instead of pinned to the Explorer icon? I am actually having trouble filling my taskbar and I would like to be able to use all three drive icons. I would also like to be able to put folders directly on the taskbar, too.

You can put an explorer shortcut to the taskbar, and let it point to the drive when it opens.

Then just replace the icon with the drive icon.

And to change the icon, rightclick the shortcut, properties, change icon...
