Hello all,

Yesterday I went on my laptop to watch a video on YouTube and the computer randomly restarted. I thought this was just a one off instance but when it restarted the computer seemed to have funny colours on the screen. Once I logged into Windows an error message detailing the problem came up. This is shown below. Since then the computer has been restarting randomly. The latest thing I installed was Silverlight so I uninstalled that but still had no luck. Would love it if somebody could help. I have attached the minidump file as rules say.

I am running Windows 7 Home 32bit via upgrade from Vista Home 32bit. This has been since day of official release and no problems up until now. If you need anything else, please let me know.

Thanks!

The crash was caused by hardware

Here are some guidelines on what to check and how to fix it. http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-2-int-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

I would run a system fie check
type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>SFC /SCANNOW
If you are overclocking STOP

Ken

Thanks for the amazingly quick reply! =D

Just finished the scan and it said: "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations".. Is that something to worry about?

Thanks for that list, it looks like it's going to really help and I'll be going through it now. I do think it may be the overheating thing as I guess I don't have very good ventilation. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks ever so much.
